Best Beaches for Sunset Maternity Photos in Kona, Hawaii

Kona is a beautiful district or moku on Hawaii Island that has stunning beaches that are perfect for your maternity session. As Hawaii Island is the youngest out of all the islands, there are unique lava flows and features that make it unlike anywhere else on earth.

Whether you’re attracted to the the dark contrast of lava rocks or white sand with coconut trees, Kailua-Kona offers the perfect locations to celebrate your babymoon and take your maternity photos!

Kikaua Point Park – A small beach with lava rocks and calm water, perfect for getting in. Since there is limited parking, I especially love this location at sunrise when the lot is open.

Ka’upulehu Beach – This long stretch of sandy beach is in front of the Four Seasons Hualalai, and a beautiful place for maternity photos on the Big Island.

Ke’ei Beach – This beach is in South Kona, secluded, private, and lined with coconut trees. I recommend weekdays here, as weekends often have local ‘ohana that are fishing and camping.
