The Fairmont Orchid is a beautiful resort located on the Kohala Coast. When I was pregnant with my second, our family chose the Fairmont Orchid for our babymoon and staycation on the island! Although it is a large hotel with over 500 rooms, it somehow feels low-key, spacious, and private. The protected lagoon is perfect for pregnant women to swim in the ocean and little ones to splash around without waves. We loved eating at Brown’s Restaurant as well as the pool side restaurant which served healthy smoothies and organic options.

I love maternity sessions at the Fairmont Orchid as it is easily accessible for guests to walk from their room. The water at Pauoa Bay Beach stays calm, which means its easy to get in and out of the water for dreamy shots at sunrise or sunset. I also love walking south to the adjacent beach which has lava rocks and coconut trees.
