Why Choose the Four Seasons for your Hawaii babymoon?

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is one of my favorite resorts and places to do maternity photos on the Big Island. Guests of the hotel can easily walk from their room to Ka’upulehu Beach for a stunning long stretch of beach. Tide pools line the shore which are beautiful for photos as well. The spa has special treatments just for pregnant women, and the restaurants such as ULU and Beachtree offer incredible views of the sunset. There are always smiling faces and warm service around the resort, which makes for such a relaxing stay.

Best Time of Day For Your Four Seasons Hualalai maternity shoot

I recommend either sunrise or sunset for maternity photos at the Four Seasons Hualalai. Sunrise is around 7am in the winter, and can be as early as 5:45am in the summer. Although it seems early at first, most guests are already walking up hours earlier than normal with the time change. Sunrise allows for empty beaches and bright colors, showing off the sparkly blue ocean. If you prefer a sunset shoot, the sun sets right over the ocean and can make for warm and glowy tones.

What To Wear for your hawaii maternity photos?

This is personal preference and I love to help each woman with their unique style and vision for their maternity shoot. However a general rule of thumb is to arrive in a dress, either form fitting or flowy, and then move into a swimsuit with a long skirt for a few bare belly shots. Since we are at the beach, swimwear is typical attire and makes for a natural feeling session.
