hawaii jungle maternity photos | rochelle + D | honolua forest

Rochelle and D came to Maui for their babymoon to enjoy all of the beauty and nature and celebrate their first child, and it was the perf time to do a hawaii jungle maternity photos. although they were staying on the southside, Rochelle was attracted to the lush greenery in honolua forest. with hanging vines and greenery, and a short walk to the bay — it’s such a special places that offers so many beautiful backgrounds for a photo session.

the day of our shoot, I reviewed rochelle’s emails, and noticed a link to her website in her signature. after clicking, I discovered she was the creator of a movement practice called Qoya, and I was immediately obsessed! my happiest and best moments in life, I was dancing… so to see her unique take on movement was exciting. on top of that, I saw that esteher perel and catherine northrup — two authors I LOVE — endorsed her movement practice!

at the photography session, we played with creative movement.

I loved hearing about Rochelle and D’s love story, and the getting to know them while we adventured through honolua forest and bay.
