isis and josh | hawaii beach maternity photography

I met Isis at Enchanted Forest, a music and arts festival nestled in the forest of northern california in 2012. I remember approaching her to ask to take her photo, as she was decked out in the most beautiful and creative adornments and had an inner light that was straight beaming.

Josh and I met separately through mutual friends at our regional Burning Man that used to happen on Maui, SOURCE. it was brief, but I remember thinking — this guy is rad af.

and damn, when I found out these two unique beings found each other, it all made sense. Isis and Josh have created an incredible life together, and to witness the intention and love they’re putting into their growing ohana is something special.

I hadn’t seen Isis for 6 years, so it was a completely surprise to get an email from her to do a maternity session during their stay in Hawaii. what an honor to cruise Maui with these two, and celebrate what’s real.
