Iao Valley is one of my favorite places on Maui. why? Simply because it’s a pure magic. This is a sacred and beautiful place that everyone should experience while visiting Hawaii. You can read more about Iao Valley on my list of things to do on maui with your family.

For some, these waters are close to the heart. they’ve been bathing in them since they were babes.

About Meili Autumn and This Shoot

Introducing, Meili Autumn — a bridal hair and makeup artist in Maui, who was born and raised onthe island. Meili lives only a few miles from the stream. We’ve worked together many times, either when I’m shooting weddings, or most recently when I shot the new Ergobaby campaign. It was so special to get to actually photography Meili for once! Her and Kezia came to Iao valley for a dip in the stream.

I’m constantly reminded why I love what I do… These are precious and fleeting moments that deserve to be printed in beautiful albums and up on the walls. I know Kezia will cherish these when she’s older as well… photos of her and her momma are worth more than any material things. Simple love and connection is everything in this wild world.
