maui sunflower field | maternity photography | hawaii
Lindsay and Mark spent a month in Hawaii, relaxing and exploring – awaiting their first child.
a couple days before their maternity session, this massive field of sunflowers sprouted up out of nowhere! for the last 130 years, sugarcane had grown in its place – and this was a new effort by pacific biosisel for biofuel. I called Lindsay and asked if we could stop at the field before we went to the beach in kihei. and I’m so glad we did! the blanket of yellow inspired me to film a bit, and I hope bebegirl enjoys watching these sweet moments between her parents when she’s older.
these two have been together 12 years — traveling, windsurfing, producing festivals, and Mark is even in a band called Wookiefoot. why are the people I photograph so damn cool. to be connected through this art is something I treasure. excited to hang with their family of 3 next maui trip. here are a few favorites from our session.
