About the Shoot
I’ve been spending a bit of time on the mainland but, flew back to Maui for a week full of shoots. I had seven families to photograph, and it was pouring rain island-wide almost every day! After having to reschedule a few and move things around, the sun magically came out on the southside… This was perfect timing for Chelsea Jean’s session with her family. I’m thankful to get to celebrate her 5th pregnancy with a maternity shoot at Po’olenalena beach. This family’s beautiful sandy, blonde hair and cute freckles matched perfectly against the clear coast. They all coordinated everything beautifully, from hair to outfits. I absolutely adored the blues and blacks of their attire! The key to a session like this one is just to have fun and be natural. I love when clients have fun during their shoot. It makes my job more fun, your pictures came out even more amazing, and you’ll have candid, great memories that will last a lifetime.

You may remember my interview and paia hang with her last year (check it out here). Just like last time, not only did we get amazing shots, we talked about veganism, homeschooling and more. All seemed to be going well! I loooooove this ohana so much! It’s been a joy to get to know their family over the last couple years. They are such kindred spirits! It’s great to see how all the kids: Charlie Rose, Cash, Benny, and Jack have grown so much since I last saw them. This family is still as beautiful (inside and out) and vibrant as ever. Chelsea Jean is so insightful, loving, and caring. I love photographing this wonderful family and being able to talk to them about anything and everything!
