About the Backyard Wedding

This is one of the most beautiful backyard weddings I’ve had the privilege to capture. Bree and Jared got married at their home in Haiku, Maui. Their Maui backyard wedding was truly beautiful and one of my favorites to be a part of. They gathered with ohana and friends, it poured all day and cleared up for their celebration which was complete with rainbows. The rainbows not only gave it a true Hawaii feel, it set the mood perfectly for this intimate wedding. The clouds from the storm gave us a beautiful and dramatic lighting to work with as we got some portrait shots of the bride and groom. This wedding was filled with all sorts of nature. Succulents, lush greenery, beautiful and vivid flowers helped bring an intimate, close-to-home feel to this wedding.

About the Couple

These two have known each other their whole lives, dating in high school and coming around full circle. You may remember Bree from her stunning maternity session I did a bit back. It’s so lovely to see this family grow and have baby Jai be there for his northshore wedding. The backyard scenery fit Bree and Jared’s style perfectly. Even with baby Jai’s maternity session, his parents chose a mystical forest along with a Hawaiian beach. Bree, Jared, and Jai seem so happy to be a loving family and it truly showed on this day. All from family and friends were glistening and grinning ear to ear to see Bree and Jared marry. Baby Jai will have such an amazing life with his newlywed parents, supportive friends and family. I look forward to seeing Bree, Jared, and Jai grow their love for each other, together.
