did you guys know I traveled the world photographing hula hoopers? I was known as ‘the hoop photographer’? yup. it’s a thing – and the number of people picking up hoops continues to grow. whether it’s for exercise, meditation, therapy, community, fire, or just pure joy. the plastic circle is a tool for transformation, and brings people together from all over. hoopers are a nice bunch, I mean — how could you not be if you play with a circle?

nicole casper is a performer located on maui, and also mother of the adorable baby zyra. I don’t do as many hoop shoots these days, so it was a blast to combine my love of movement with family photography.
