This adorable family stayed at the Wailea Beach Villas during their vacation, so I recommended Po’olenalena beach for their family photos. When photographing little ones, minimizing car time is key to keep the kids fresh and ready to adventure! This beach was only a 10 minute drive from Jenn and Nix’s hotel, and has a variety of trees, rocks and open beach that’s kid-friendly and fun to explore.

Jenn is the CEO of tréstique, a light and travel friendly make up company that even has cases in vegan leather (I’m about that!). Her husband, Nix also runs his own company — so this time of being together as a family and being away from the bustle of New York was very special.

We switched to swimsuits half way through our portraits, which is my favorite for keeping the kids engaged, having fun and happy (one of my main priorities!) and splashing around in the water as the sun went down.
