LA family photography | haven + caleb + valentina

as many of you know, I’ve been in los angeles for the last month trying something new. after 7 years on maui, I decided to gain some perspective and get my urban fix. dance classes, bike rides through the city streets, museums, music, endless new coffee shops to explore… it has been challenging in many ways — but my favorite part has been connecting with new humans and shooting in new places! this is my first downtown LA family photography session, and I’m hooked. the new scenery has been refreshing, and I’m grateful for the inspiration.

haven and caleb are both in the fashion industry, and live in the heart of downtown LA. I know haven through mutual friends on maui, so it was great to connect with this born and raised island babe again — and meet her man caleb, and baby Valentina. she has grown so much and I’m inspired by how she has interwoven her art and family together. and valentina is a special little being – straight up! we spent the morning in their home and up on the rooftop of their building.
